Vintage Roses Lesson

Original photo.....
Photo that I worked on...I think it looks much better. I've gotten online and am trying to learn how to use my Photoshop program. I wanted to start out with building my own background but got flippin' sidetracked with all the cool stuff to learn. The reworked photo looks cleaner and brighter and a more true color. I got to play with layers...I LOVE photography....when the photo turns out..Hahaaa...There's SO much to learn, but I'm trying!
Y'all have a great day!

Beautiful!! It is fun...can't we just get some magic app on all our apple electronics to do this for us? LOL

I just shoot more to get a good one. The new camera I just got has a multisetting to shoot 2 different exposures so you get a choice.Looks nice, love those roses.

boy can I ever relate to the getting side tracked thing...lol
I like what you did with the picture, it looks great. Isn't playing fun?

I love that second pic best. It's funny sometimes you have to play with it a little to capture what your eye actually sees. And I hear ya on the getting sidetracked hehe.

Lovely photos. I'm not clear on which one is the original. I am assuming it is the second one. I like the second one better. I like the color of the flowers more.

LOL - great photography skills, girl. Very pretty!!

I get sidetracked the moment I put one foot on the floor in the morning; it's a wonder I remember to drag the other one along. :)

You're doing a fine job. Of course, who could possibly have doubted?

I LOVE Photoshop, Donna- I can take a picture and spend HOURS tweaking it!! The roses are gorgeous- you have a wonderful subject to work with!

Hey, great job there, girl!!! My biggest complaint with straight-out-of the-camera photos (including my own, LOL) is that they are too dark and not vibrant enough. The digital camera does the best job that it can, and the image really needs tweaking with photo editing to bring out its best! Have I told you before that there is a Photoshop Elements magaazine? It is awesome! They have all past issues available online once you sign up for a subscription. Even though I use CS5 now, I am continuing this subscription because it is THAT good!

Howdy,
I have been a PShop junkie for about...10 years? Wow - there is so much we can do with it. Sidetracked is the truth! I love the roses! Especially the vintage varieties. Do you grow a lot of them?
I've tried here in Missouri but they are a LOT of work.
