I didn't know of Annette Funicello, but will miss the Iron Lady too. (((Hugs))) Jo
I did not hear of either - well the world lost two WONDERFUL women and role models. sandie
Annette, as you probably know Donna, suffered many years with MS (I believe it was). She was a doll, and a very strong woman.
Goodnight to both remarkable ladies.
xoxo
Annette was my FAVORITE Mouseketeer!I am sad. She brought so many happy memories to my life. I wouldn't miss a single episode and looked forward to it as well as American Bandstand when they came on the air.
I love Margaret Thatcher...wonderful woman and yes she fought hard against the evil socialism. Wish we had a woman here like her.
A very sad day, indeed.
Obviously I don't keep up with the news since I didn't know about either one of these.
The world lost two very special women today, very sad. Annette was my favorite Mouseketeer too. Both ladies will be missed.
Annette was many of young boy's crush. But I never had a crush on Maggie. The movie about her with Meryl Streep wasn't bad. Not great but okay.
Two classy ladies--and women that we could look up to. So sad to hear of their passing.
Annette was the original Disney girl all those years ago. she is quite the contrast to Miley Cyrus and such nowadays.
Annette always kept a good profile with all her health problems.
Awww... so sad for the world to lose both of these wonderful women in the same day....
I heard last night on the news that Annette had been in somewhat of a coma for the last couple of years due to her MS~ did not know that.
Beautiful tribute, Miss Donna!
Yes, two more well known ladies are gone. Sad to hear of their passing.

When I was little, I used to watch Annette on The Mickey Mouse club. No matter what trials she went through, she always retained her beauty and aura of peace.
Rest in peace two lovely, spirited, courageous ladies who made a real difference. The world is less bright without you.
BTW thanks for that wonderful Maggie video. "I'm enjoying this! I'm enjoying this!" We'll never see her like again. She was the fighter's fighter. May God rest her soul.
LOVED Maggie! And Annette! Have you seen Iron Lady! Awesome movie about M. Thatcher!
