Simplicity...A Personal Photo Challenge

I had my post ALL ready...yes I did!  And you know what?  My subject matter is due next month...Hahahaaa....SO!  Hurriedly, I ran outside and looked around in a fevered pitch...yes, I said a fevered pitch...looking for something with straight lines...I  want you to see my little friends the ants.  Make note of the straight line all the little fellows are lined up in!  I'm feeding them a supper of borax and honey.  Hopefully, they'll carry some back to the queen and we can thus...no longer claim kinship in these here parts!
I apologize for my hurried entry Donna!  I worked REALLY hard on...NEXT months!!Hahaaa....
Anyway, please go to A Personal Photo Challenge blog and lay your eyes on some genuinely nice entries and enjoy your weekend!

I'm laughing at your explanation for Roku in previous post. We have three of those (we're on the fourth generation of the box too - we love the subtitle options now) and I couldn't live without Roku. Well...that's an exaggeration, but you know what I mean. Have you watched House of Cards? Oops, guess I got distracted. Those are some big ants, and their different colors from the ones I usually see - two tone. Hope you manage to coax them along to a new home. Happy weekend to you Donna. {{{hugs}}}

You are a total hoot - the explanation AND the photo! LOL!!! Those little guys are doing their own little formation in the shape of a heart. The LOVE you, Miz Donna! You win the creativity award, girlfriend!

Oh my gosh when I first looked it at I thought those were ants!

Your ant visitors have almost made a simple heart while lining up. Great shot Miz Donna!!

What a fun shot.I had a liquid you put on a piece of cardboard to get rid of the sugar ants and it cleaned them up fast.

Of course I love this because working on the wrong theme and then hurriedly working on the right one at the last minute is exactly something I would do...lol
You did good for spur of the moment. Hope this works on those ants, I hate those suckers :)

Care to post the recipe? I have a few ants I'd love to dispatch. It makes for an interesting photo and I'd never have dreamed of the carnage to come. : >

Good luck with the ants.

OMG - ants already? Must be warm where you are, we don't usually get them until later in Summer........guess it's a long hike from Texas! That's almost a heart shape but I know you're probably not loving them - hope they disappear quickly!

Good to meet you - photo challenges can be difficult........but so much fun.

See you next time -

they really are quite natures delight aren't they, as long as they stay in nature. I haven't seen any yet, but I'm still frosty. Thanks for the elimination recipe. Good luck, great photo.

I thought your ants were the photo challenge. Did you notice that they are in the shape of a heart?

When I first saw this, I thought they were bees! I hope that solution works. :)

Very interesting photo.

Those are some big ants. I hope they feast well and pass the mixture along to their queen. That's a very unique subject you've chosen.

That is the most creative manipulation of ants I've ever seen. If we have as many ants this year as last, I may be doing the same thing.
Great photo.

This photo is amazing! Why are they only walking around the edges? Does this mixture kill them or what? What is the proportion of honey to borax? How fascinating, I have never heard of this.

How amazing! I've never seen anything like it! I love seeing hearts in nature! What fun!

Those look like wood ants, very destructive. I hope your prescription works.
It makes for a very interesting picture.
