December 14th...A Boy and a Tree

This was taken Thanksgiving evening.  That's our grandson, William.  He's about 6 ft., 1 or 2 inches himself but needed the ladder for the tree topper.  This is an every year tradition...after the Thanksgiving meal, Larry brings in the tree and our daughter and grandkids get busy.  Oh yes, I help as well.
"A little to the left"
"That looks better"
"How about using the red one"
"You're doing a great job"
"Perfect"
"Awww, my babies!  It's beautiful!  Thank you!"

Yep...every year.  I tried to call it off one year and caused such a firestorm that I quickly reconsidered!Hahaaa.
Well. guess I'll go heat up lunch.
Have a super Wednesday!

What a pretty tree. I used to always put up my tree Thanksgiving night. Then somewhere along the way I started procrastinating

Handsome grandson!

Magnificent tree!!!!

Tradition. So important to maintain. :-) As long as it still makes sense...

The old story of the woman who kept making marshmallow sweet potatoes, every year, because her mother had always served them.... And no one ate them!!! Now that is a tradition, to scuttle. -grin-

Wishing you a cozy fireplace, a comfy chair, a warm 'throw' for your legs, and a good book to read! :-)

Yes, it seems like a tradition that you should hold fast to.

Ah, it's so pretty! We usually try to put ours up on Thanksgiving as well, but if Thanksgiving is ever at our house and we know some of the relatives aren't coming for Christmas we end up putting up the tree before Thanksgiving. (So that they can see it too). Our tree is sort of like a diva. Lol! So many ornaments and people get upset if they don't see them.

Of course, over time things change and people change so it's really only the immediate family that's all ga-ga over the tree these days. I was really late in putting it up this year, but I love it. It'll hurt when it comes time to take it down.

Good grief ... you all do that in one evening? That's amazing. It takes me DAYS to get the tree up once TG brings everything down from the attic! Of course, I do it all ALONE! Many hands make light work and your helpers are awesome! Beautiful gorgeous tree. I love it. xoxo
