Valentine's Day...

Hope you all enjoyed Valentines Day.  We did.  I gave Larry a card with some cash...because there's literally not much else he asks for or needs.  Cash for lunch out is always nice.  But this year, he surprised me with a fun gift.  He knows how much I love fried chicken so...it was off to the Brookshires to buy some! Lolol...We both had a great laugh.  But it was also a great lunch of which we both enjoyed.
A sweet card and fried chicken...what's left?! Lol

I made sure to carry the high carb theme forward with a breakfast of French Toast.  Loaded with butter, powdered sugar and lemon juice...Yum!

Seriously good!

Larry also made my favorite lima beans!

And what's a post without our favorite Valentine, Sloane?!

Well, this is a short post (I heard that!! Lol)
I hope your Valentine's Day was as fun as ours was.
Have a super day and until next time...

Hi Donna,

It sounds like you had a perfect Valentine's Day. Your French toast looks delicious!! Unfortunately, I'm a little under the weather, so we just got takeout from the local deli. I got soup and hubby got a deli sandwich. We did exchange cards, though, and Hal had already given me a wonderful box of chocolates. I'm glad you're recovering from your eye surgery. Little Sloane is precious! :D

Have a great week, Donna!

Hugs,

Denise

Ours was pulling weeds in our backyard and then going to our favorite Burger Joint for their special..2 Squeeze with cheese, fries and 2 beverages for 24$. their name is Squeeze Burger..
Yummy but it went right to my hips according to the scale this morning.

Awww...nothing says love like fried chicken! :) It's just being with those you love that makes the day so special. We had a seafood boil! It was soooo good!

You make such delicious-looking food 💗
I love that cute cowboy Valentine and of course I love the picture of Sloane looking a little on the serious side instead of her usual big smile.

What a nice custom to make some presents on Valentine day! Here in Germany you give some flowers and love to your best friends. Sloane is a little princess! Her hair becomes longer and longer! I can say the same like you: My dear husband and me have all what we need. Friendship and LOVE may never end! Best wishes and a lot of blessings to you all from Dori from the Bavarian Forest!

I'm so glad you had a happy Valentine's Day, Donna...As there is only me I shared it with me...and not with as delicious food as shown here. :)

Sloane gets more beautiful each day, if that is even possible. She is the loveliest little girl. Please give her a special hug from me. :)

That fried chicken looks really good. As does the French toast. I sometimes use powdered sugar instead of syrup too! Love that vintage Valentine. My sister first introduced me to vintage cards many years ago, and since then, I was hooked. And the best Valentine is little Sloane. Sounds like it was a good day for you.

I'm glad you enjoyed your Valentine's Day, it's not a real big thing down this way but the florist and some people are trying their hardest to make it more popular, oneday they will succeed I expect.
The card is lovely...haven't had fried chicken for about 2 years, yes, I like it!

We had a nice dinner together I had flowers and perfume. Sloane is growing very fast, she is no more a baby but a nice little girl.

I guess there are no rules for Valentine's Day, so a sweet card and fried chicken sounds absolutely perfect!
And indeed, what would a post from you be without little heart-breaker Sloane? xxx
