Good Morning Friends...
It's been a rocky week, hasn't it... But...we have His promise that everything is going to be okay. Love your family...hold on tight.
I haven't been around much...too darn many things happening. The shooting...getting sick...Larry getting his usual 3 month bladder wash for the cancer (Friday) then attending a bed build for children at the church on Saturday and him coming home not 2 hours after it started (8am to 2 pm) at 10am looking like death warmed over! I didn't think he was going to make it to the bathroom before passing out...he didn't pass out but felt like it! It was already ninety degrees outside...he said it was fast and furious like an assembly line! Each person had one job to do then it passes to the next guy...his job was cutting the lumber.... Larry will be 78 this October...he simply cannot do this sort of work anymore. I think that knowledge rocked him. We are old and getting older. Nothing will stop that fact. But we don't have to invite a bad situation in... I think he now knows he's no longer Batman...he's Robin, and that's okay!
These are our reasons for hanging around on this old Earth...Children, grandchildren and greatgrands...
Thank you God, for we are so Blessed.
One thing Larry isn't too old to do is bake/cook! Tomato gravy and biscuits was on the table waiting for me!
This morning it was Bacon and Poblano Pepper Scones! Loved these!
Larry went to church alone last Sunday...I was down and out with...something. Nose, sneezing, tired and achy. We usually go to lunch somewhere after the service...a date. Since we didn't go Sunday, he took me for a Gelato at an Italian restaurant. We come in and tell the seating guy that all we wanted was gelato...period. He directs us to the bar area. No... we didn't order any booze...although the Limoncello looked interesting... but no... just gelato please.
I once ordered a Coffee Martini...Delicious!
Chocolate caramel and Vanilla Bean...
Delicious!
Well...I suppose that about it for me this week. I hope you all are well and happy and safe!
Praying for a happier week...our children, grandchildren and greatgrans are supposed to be here on Saturday! SO excited about that...so until next time...
Thank you for the visit!!

Yes, it's been a hard week. I'm reminding myself that God is in control and has a plan.
Poor Larry, I'm glad he's doing better. He sure can cook!
Those grands are so adorable! I agree on the grandparenting/parenting quote.
Until bob stopped walking on March 28, at age 89, he could still do just about anything he put his mind too. His PT calls him the Viking. Just will not stop, now in his mind he is still the Viking, and he doesn't know he can't do things. its really hard on him and me... the food looks Devine and I would eat anything anyone else cooks. I do not like to cook at all. In fact until I was 10 years old I prayed to turn into a boy so I would not have to do GIRL StuFF
Your previous post brought tears to my eyes, which has happened very often this week. Love the grandchildren pictures, I always say that my grandchildren are my reason for getting up in the morning. I'm glad you both are feeling better.
I'm with Larry...I keep thinking I can do more than I am able. It's a hard reality. It has been such a sad week...and now I find out that Robert Redford died today. Criminy.
