Sunday's Fare

Hubby does a Mean gravy and biscuits!

His biscuits are Wonderful!...LOL...They Do come in a bag...SO???LOL...They're Great.
Well, I just fell into an exhausted sleep last night. Slept All night long and only woke up at 6:00am because some bird decided I'd had enough Z's for one night...Got up and had these wonderful biscuits and gravy...bacon and coffee. Then, while trying to get This post done, our old friend Henry and his son Ryan dropped by for a visit. All in all, its been a happy day. I think Crystal has also decided against the townhouse rental in favor of a duplex on the south side of us (about a mile and a half south). She'll have to settle for a two bdrm for now and just get on the list for a three bdrm. The difference is between two and three hundred dollars savings. Hey! That will pay water and electric!lol...She won't know anything until the rental office opens Monday morning though. She's so excited. I asked Sami, "But who'll blow dry your hair in the mornings, or, get your strawberry milk"?? She points to her mother...LOL!!! I really will miss those little things...
Well, I'm off to find someone to wart....I mean help. Laundry and such does Not jump into the machine by it's self. Happy day everyone!

Are those biscuits anything like scones? And what flavour is the gravy? Is that bacon I see with them? I'm getting hungry.

Hi Donna,

Oh, yah!! We LOVE gravy and biscuits!

I guess it's mostly a southern thing!

We like to go to Hardees and I get a chicken biscuit but steal some of Charles' gravy too put on it! He hets gravy/biscuits- plus a sausage biscuit!

BTW- I like that you answer comments with a comment! :) I do it that way too, but most bloggers don't! (and that kinda leaves you hanging!!)

Oh, well!

Are we joined at the brain or something? Isn't this the second time we've posted about the very same thing? I'm so glad to find someone else who knows that tomatoes aren't just for spagetti sauce and sandwiches! Your Breakfast looks pretty fantastic too! BTW son Wallace did come for breakfast but my sweet D(IL) got called in to work early...however she has extracted a raincheck from me!

Dabrah- No, they're lighter than a scone...feathery, and the gravy is an oil & flour roux, cooked just a few minutes. Chop up an onion and saute it in a different skillet until it turns transparent...add to the roux. Keep stirring while you add milk and get the grave to the consistancy that you like. Pull the biscuits (I know you call cookies, biscuits) out of the oven, split apart, pour the gravy over them...The flavor is a delicate onion...Good!!LOL...Happy night Girl!!hughugs

Margot- LOLOL...I think we all thought you'd gone Native in France!!! I Missed You!!! So glad you're home sweetie!! Hope you had a Fantastic time!!hughugs

I am SO dramatic!!LOLOL...Hopefully, I'll turn myself around and give me a quick kick in the butt...I love you for asking...How did you know?!!!lolol

Brenda said...

Because I know what frame of mind I'd be in. There's excitement because they're all grown up and doing grown up things but then there's anxiety over them being out from under the safety of your wing. Even if it's only a mile or so away and even if they've ventured away before.

Brenda said...

P.S. And I don't cope with change well either! Think it could be because of our military brat background? Just want a routine to stick to?

Sally said...

Take a deep breath. Swamee says, everyTING gonna be okay. :)

My daughter, also Crystal moved in with our now SIL a few years ago and they married this past March. Very hard letting go. We're very close and always joke they didn't cut the umbilical cord just gave us an extension cord. They're nearby and we love Kevin to pieces so it's all good.
