Goodness, what a week...William (10yr old Grandson) has been super sick. 103temp at it's highest...99 at its lowest! Never Breaking!! I really feel it was the Swine flu and not the N1H1 variety...but scary, nonetheless. He had a playmate at the daycare he Use to attend, die about two weeks ago from the N1H1...They had been babies and playmates for almost all their lives...Will hasn't been to the daycare now for several years and we heard about the friends passing on the news...terrible! They were the same age and it hit the kids pretty hard. SO, I began my research...and applied my nursing skills and meds...I'm happy to report his fever Finally broke (after 5 constant days) and has not returned...If he's Still fever free all day today, (they say after 24 but I like 36hrs) he can go back to school tomorrow. Thank God....You know if I'm not around Anywhere much, Someone's sick....
I piddled around changing my blog again...Hahaa...You know me. Hope and pray everyone is well and HAPPY!! Don't make me hurt you! I want some Smiling going on!! Happy day everyone!

Thanks Cupcake! It was a Hairy few days!! I had him the first 2 days and Crystal had him the last 3 days...Scary because it would Not respond to hardly anything but antibiotics and motrin...they say antibiotics won't help but I beg to disagree! People who have been dying have Underlying infections...so hence..the antibiotic...he had a sore throat and head congestion like we've Never seen!! Today, he can breathe through his nose.hughugs

It looks wonderful in here!
So glad William is better...scary, for sure - good that Grandma was around to nurse him back to health! Very sad about his lifelong friend and schoolmate. One just never knows.
Your blog looks GREAT! Very creative!! So glad to hear that your grandson is feeling much better. That's just awful about his little friend. People do not realize just how serious that flu can be!
I guessed you had been busy. 5 days of high temperatures is pretty scary; so glad he is OK now.
Glad to hear the young man is on the mend. You sure have a talent for finding cute pics to post. Thanks for keeping us smilin'!
Nothing makes you feel so powerless as one who is sick and does not respond quickly to whatever treatment is given. I border on panic until I see marked improvement.
Glad to hear the little guy is on the mend. What a tragedy to hear of one so young dying; breaks my heart.
Love the header photo. :D
Happy New Year.
I am so glad to hear that you are healing the littla fella back to health. I figured that is what you've been up to!
Love the new background and the funny squirrel is adorable! Hahaha, isn't it fun to "redecorate" our blogs? Wish it was so easy with our houses!
Oh, my heart goes out to William and to the family of his friend. I am so glad your grandson had you to help look after him.
My son and I are supposed to get the shots for N1H1, but first there was none available and them we were both sick, so I don't know if we need to get them now.
I love what you've done with your blog! So pretty!
Hoping things stay relatively calm for you! Hugs & Blessings!

Aww the poor little guy. Glad his fever finally broke.
Hi Brenda! Am so sorry to hear that your little friend had the flu. Although it does sound exactly like N1H1 to me...that vairety of swine flu runs a terrible temperature in all ages of people. Did you all get the vaccination (sorry, ever the nurse ~ but if not, it is still available). Stay well. Oh BTW, from your photo, you do not look old enough to be a Grandmother!!!!!!!
