Look at the price for unleaded! Hubby and I went shopping at Green's Sausage Haus, Saturday, and I told him to stop at an old gas station/store on the way home. I saw an opportunity to get some nice shots for The Brenda Photo Challenge due THIS SATURDAY!!LOL...(Just a reminder...) This should tell you how long the old store has been closed! I think the last time I saw this kind of pricing, I was first married. Incredible!
RUT ROW ALERT! Just hearing on the TV that Al & Tipper Gore are separating....No Comment....Y'all have a happy day!

Your memory is better than mine, cuz I can't remember when it was that low anymore.
Well, I figure it had to be around '69 or '70....'72? No later though...

Al and Tipper have cooled to the separation point? That's ... interesting. I can't believe she ever ... never mind. I shall keep it courteous.
The picture is fascinating ... I vaguely remember when fuel was that cheap! Although I will say, gasoline is cheaper in Columbia, SC (where I live), than anywhere else in the nation! We paid $2.41 our last fill-up and at some places, with a card, you can get it for $2.38!
BTW I posted the text of A Rune for June ... in case you're interested! I never dreamed anyone would actually want to READ it! *howl*
Have a great big wonderful day, luvvy! *hug*
Woo hoo...... wish our gas prices were the same as in the picture.....
Happy Day to you!
Those were the days :) I can remember when I was in high school a friend of mine used to put $1.00 worth of gas in her moms car. LOL wouldn't get you very far these days.
70 or 72 huh? I don't remember that. I think that was a LIL before my time;o) LOL!!! Aw, ol Al and Tippie broke up huh? Darn;o)
Wow seems like forever since prices were that low..but I remember when I first started driving and being upset because gas was going up to 50 cents a gallon!!
I remember fuel being cheap as chips alright! But NO don't remember the Vintage looking Pump there!! lol!
Yep, I remember my little bro putting 50 cents in the tank to take his girl on a date. Also, when I could put 5.00 every friday and it lasted a week.
As for Tip & Al - No comment here either.

I remember those years (70 - 71), and I think it was lower than that then. I think you have to move past 1973 and the oil embargo to get to those prices.
Ac, you're probably right...we married in '72 and I remember gas being low in price...Been too long...

Tip and Al are going to be increasing their carbon footprints with separate estates! Just saying...
I've got two pictures pulled together for the photo challenge this weekend. We'll be gone, but I'm still playing. I'll just be late in approving comments before posting. I asked DH if he would pose for me for the weathered and worn topic and I got the dirtiest look! Sooo... I have to come up with some other plans! LOL.
Heck I have an old black and white photo my brother took years and years AND years ago. The price on the pump was 29 cents!!! I'm trying to think what year it was when gas was only 89 cents and I'm sure I thought it was high then!
