Google to Re-Brand Picasa and Blogger...grief!

You know that Google has bought out Blogger don't you? Well, they did, back in 2003. Eventually, Bloggers name will be changed to...ready? GoogleBlog...Hahaaaa....catchy. Its taken them long enough to change the names hasn't it? Something new is suppose to "roll out" by July 30th...Who knows. Don't know about Picasa. I just want them to work. I think whatever they are doing behind the scenes is messing with Blogger....but then, I AM a conspiracy theorist...Hahaaaa... Three and a half hours to try to load a photo is....causing me...grief. One day Blogger works almost well, the next...horribly. It hasn't worked great in a long time. Donna at Cottage Days said something about it on her latest post so I thought I'd try posting something today, myself...and well...she was right. Why does it affect some bloggers and not the rest? No answers. So, if it gets too bad, I'll just leave a link here to my WordPress blog. It's not that bad YET...I love to threaten, don't I...Hahaaaa....Hope you have a great weekend everyone! Behave!

They are obviously trying to get the dashboard pages to look and act more like Wordpress. But this transition is causing a LOT of problems. Yesterday, I had trouble doing a small post. Today, I did a large post and it worked without one single problem. I have been mourning the loss of Live Writer since I switched to an iMac, but if blogger can fix the bloody template issues once and for all, I will gladly sing their praises.

I read about this yesterday. I've been having a lot of problems lately with uploading pictures to blogger. They have been taking forever. i gave up the one day and went back a couple hours later. Geesh I hope they get things straightened out.
Have a great weekend

I thought it was just me havIng problems uploading pictures... I wasn't sure if it was blogger or my Internet connection/computer. My pictures always seem to load much better if I compress them, but that's another step to get a picture up...whatever the case, i hope it all gets straightened up soon.

Oh well...its always something isn't it? Hope you have a great weekend!

OH GREAT, something else to go wrong! *hehe*
I appreciate the free service of Blogger, but it sure can be frustrating sometimes not knowing if it's going to work right or not!
You tell them what for, Miss Donna! *giggle*

I lost a lot of people who couldn't comment on my blog. The pics were slow yesterday, I may go back to the old form.I haven't tried today, but I can't comment on my own blog.

That's a gorgeous photo, Donna!!

Yes, Blogger is driving me nuts too. It's taking longer and longer for me to load my friend's blog so I can read them. Don't know if it's this old computer, or Blogger, but whatever!!!!!! :)

I did try what you so kindly suggested about my camera, and the message I got was "no connectivity", so that's my computer. DAMNIT!! But, thanks for trying to help me. You're an angel. (((hugs)))

love your photo! Blogger doesn't give me a headache usually but one day I did have trouble uploading photos. I had to go through my Flickr account and do it that way which was no problem. but I do prefer the direct way of course! have a great weekend Donna. {{{hugs}}}

I used to have trouble until I started uploading smaller images. I imagine you've already thought of that but wanted to mention it just incase.

Oh and I have definitely noticed some issues with the bar at the top. I am not able to sign in sometimes.

All I know is, two-thirds of the time when I try to leave a comment on one of my beloved blogger buddies' blogs -- like yours! -- I get a "Service Unavailable" message and have to start over. I've taken to copying my comment in case I'm given the error message and have to start all over ... which all too often, I do. So that's annoying and I don't know why in this age of much-ballyhooed whiz-bang technology, they can't figure out something so simple.

But I won't give up!!!!! Wouldn't dream of it. Happy Sunday!

And then to make a liar out of me, it takes forever, then posts TWICE. Sheesh ....

I never know if it's my computer or not. The only time I knew it was their problem for sure was the times my followers would disappear. That was really frustrating. I guess I haven't been blogging long enough. Ha

I've been having a few problems myself. Very frustrating.

Blogger has definitely been acting up of late; some people can't post comments which is really annoying and then sometimes followers don't show up, other times people can't access blogs. It's very frustrating.

I think they need to get their company sorted out once and for all before everyone deserts them and moves to another platform.

Blogger has always seemed to be like the poor, semi forgotten, partly ignored stepchild of the Google empire.
