A New Love, Found!

We got a chance to get out of town for a few days and gladly hauled butt!Hahaa.....I found a new love. Fresh Cherries! Oh my Goodness people! Why have I NOT noticed these gems before? Someone would ask if I'd like a cherry and the answer would Always be a resounding, NO! I do believe, that those old red ones in syrup, had ruined me when I was a kid and I never bothered trying the fresh cherry. What a loss for me. But, I have now jumped on the CherryWagon and I'll never look back. They taste like a cross between plums and tart cherries! Wonderful!
If you have never tried one...DO! If you like plums, you'll LOVE a fresh cherry!
Well, it's the start of the work week for us. Our front office guy, Ken, is on vacation this week so, it'll be a little busier for me, Crys and Hubby. Hope you all had a great weekend...I know we did.
I might be a bit late, but I'll be checking on you! Happy night (or day) to you!

Mmmmm I love cherries, a LOT. I used to buy a bag of cherries at the Huntingdon market in England and eat them while I waited on my bus home when I was a teen.

WHATTTTTT????? REALLY? We had a cherry tree and it used to produce heaps of cherries. We would be giving them away! To buy in the grocery shop is sooooo expensive here but I do at Christmas time when they are really good and wolf them down!
Love me a Cherry!

We have a large Cherry Tree in the backyard and we have been harvesting them for years...until this year. My husband decided it was just too much work between the spraying and the netting and the collecting...it IS alot of work...but everyone loved the cherries!

I love that picture!!

I can't believe you never ate cherries before! (You too, Mz. Sally!) In a few weeks we are heading to Traverse City, MI which is the self proclaimed Cherry Capitol of the world! You can bet I'll be buying lots of them! Have a great week!

I have become a cherryholic in recent days. Only reason I'm not noshing on a bowlful right now is, the other day they were three ninety-nine a pound at Kroger. A little too rich for my blood but I still stand by my statement in a recent blog post: It don't mean a thing if it ain't got that Bing.

I have been eating a LOT of cherries in the past couple of weeks. They are so fresh and sweet! My husband isn't a big fan, so I get to eat the whole bag myself.

Every year there is a Cherry Festival in Emmett, Idaho. Sadly, many of the orchards have disappeared. My husband goes every year because they do a big car show that same weekend. He always brings home a big back of luscious cherries! When I was a kid, we'd drive over for the afternoon and pick our own. We ate as many as we bagged, and rode home with bright red cherry smiles!
