Update on My Sister... and Me...

Good morning, friends!

The best of news!  Ruth Ann's CT Scan saw NO CANCER after eight chemo's!!  Of course, we'll need verification from her Oncologist, but we are over the moon!  Dr Singh says that this particular cancer, once eradicated, doesn't come back?!!  Never heard of that...We have tons of questions for him at her next appointment.

I've been out of commission since last Sunday...the flu?  I've had pneumonia once before so I'm susceptible to getting it again.  I have antibiotics here, at the house, that I purchased from a company called Jase Medical in Utah...(USA).  Yes, they're a bit pricey but they are meant to be used if you can't get into see your doctor in time. If you know what antibiotics work for you in certain conditions, then you are good to go.  There's no doctor visit...just fill out the questions, a physician reads your file, and prescribes the medications.  You get five different meds mailed to you.  I discovered the company back when Larry and I were RV'ing.  A lot of the full and part time campers use Jase Medical.  They're on the road with no permanent address.  So, if they became ill, they had something that could help in an emergency situation.  I'm not sure if they sent to other countries other than America but you are welcomed to click the link to find out.

I'm feeling better but my cough is hanging on.  My chest is no longer on fire.

Ruth Ann...

Here's a tip when making salads.  Grab some wax paper...scrunch it up on one side of your bowl and place "weepy" ingredients in it...that way, everything stays nice and crisp.

True at my house...lol

You didn't think I'd leave without a photo of our little Sloane, did you? lolol

Well, this is all I'm good for this week... I think I'll get back into the recliner and rest.  Hope you all are well and safe so, until next time...

Wonderful news that Ruth Ann's cancer appears to be vanquished. Not such great news that you had a rough time with flu. Good thing you had meds available.
My Goodness...Sloane is even more adorable than ever.

Wonderful news about your Sister! I'm so happy to hear that. Little Sloane is getting bigger by the day. Love that BIG red bow around her head. And the recipe quote hit home for me too. I was just telling my brother-in-law that I've been cooking for 40 years, and I'm tired. I'm sorry you're not feeling well, and hope you're back to yourself in no time. Be careful with the antibiotics. Sometimes yeast comes after taking them. I take probiotics to keep things balanced now.

Love that pretty June image. Happy June Donna!

Hooray! I'm so glad you sister has had success with her treatment! Thank GOD! I'm sorry that you are feeling poorly. It's nice that you have an antibiotic on hand and the tip is great. Sometimes you just need something to get you some help as it is so hard to get in to the doctor quickly these days. Fingers crossed that you are feeling better soon!

That is such great news for Ruth Ann. She is beautiful, and that smile reflects the good news.
What a smart idea for medicine when you travel or camp a lot. We do neither...at this stage of life.

Love the idea of separating the salad ingred with wax paper. So smart!

I have the recipe for you....Taco Bell. HaHa go get your own!!

HaHa the carrot kill

They just don't come any cuter than Salone, well maybe with the exception of our little Daniel. Of course girls are always cuter than boys...

Hope you feeling better REAL SOON.

Hello Donna, great news about Ruth Ann!!! That’s a lovely photo of her and I am so happy for her and for you. I remember having pneumonia and can truly empathize with what you have been going through. In fact, if there’s a respiratory infection out there, you can be sure I’ll get it. I am glad you got the right meds and the link sounds very interesting. When we were on vacation in Canada my husband was under the weather, and he found an online doctor, described his symptoms over the internet, and after not even seeing anyone, they sent the prescription he needed to a local pharmacy. He felt better in a day or so and it saved our holiday. Thank you for the great tip with the wax paper. The ‘does anybody have a recipe’ and the vegetarian funny made me smile, thank you for that. And little Sloane always makes me smile, such an adorable child! I am just about over my Covid, and am slowly catching up. Thanks so much for your sweet comments. I wish you a very speedy recovery and hope your weekend is a great one.

Hi Donna. So glad that you all got good news about your sister. I have heard of Jase Medical on a podcast I listen to. I didn't know they were based in my home state of Utah. It sounds like a "Jase Case" would be a very good thing to have on hand. I am so glad that the medicine is helping you. That is another darling picture of Sloane. I hope you have a good weekend. See you again soon!

That is wonderful news about your sister. I know that she has to be greatly relieved, along with the rest of the family. I have been in that same spot a number of times, and I know the feeling. I’m sorry you’re feeling under the weather. Be sure to take care of yourself. Sometimes we forget to do that.

Sorry you've been feeling puny. Glad you're on the mend.
You always have interesting tidbits. I knew nothing about Jase Medical. Does insurance cover the drugs?

Awwwww Baby Sloane is so precious. At my house if you are asked what you want to eat and you say I don't know or I don't care, you are likely to get nothing. So be warned, haaahaha ... just saying. Not that I'm a short order cook or anything. Moving on ... Ruth looks wonderful and this news is the BEST. WHAT an answer to prayer!~ Can't wait to hear what the oncologist has to say. Great advice about wetter salad ingredients! I will remember that! I'm glad you're feeling better. xoxo
