Te'Jun Food, Unicorns, Rings and Reminders...

Good morning, friends!
Hope you all are enjoying your Saturday.  It's been a slow week here...nothing really exciting going on.  That's actually a good thing! lol

We took lunch at one of our favorite restaurants in town.
The Te'jun Restaurant...fresh seafood!  We didn't go out on the veranda though...too hot!  105* in the shade (40.56 C)!

Larry enjoyed the seafood basket...

Cute paper towel holder...

I ordered the peeled shrimp lunch.  They give you a lot!

Sloane got a tattoo when we kept her on Monday.... It was in her pudding box so, on it went!

Snack time happiness!  Such a ham...lol

Gampa and Sloane inventing a new fashion statement!

Our granddaughter picking up her Sloaneygirl...after work on Monday.  We love keeping her.

;o)

Absolute Truth!

Years ago, our advertising guy, through our plumbing company, presented Larry and I with our own Bobble-Heads.  We were.... amused...Lolol
By the way, my eyes are green, not blue!

Halloween
94 more days!

Thanksgiving
Are You Ready??  American friends!  It'll be here sooner than you know!

117 Days!!

Christmas
149 more days!!

I'm already exploring recipes and gift ideas for both holidays...You need to start preparing now!

Don't be like Tommy Tortoise!  You're going to wish you'd been more prepared.
Some holidays I am ready for...others, not so much, over the years.  I just know it's a lot easier on the old pocketbook if you do a little at a time.
Well...I guess I'll drop off now.  It wasn't a very interesting week here (I am not complaining!) except when Zales called and said our rings were in... we jumped into the car and rushed...well maybe not rushed...stopped for a yogurt ice cream...lol...well anyway, long story short, they were not both in!  Only Larry's was.  Needless to say, I was disappointed but when I saw Larry's grin, I was fine about the delay.  He loves his ring and so do I.  50, now going on 51, ain't nuttin' to turn your nose up at...lol...A new milestone, as it were.  Mine should be in by the 4th of August...we'll see.

In the meantime, we'll be enjoying this Saturday with Lima beans and Tri-tip from the smoker.  Larry's a great cook...
I guess later on today, we'll settle in for some TV watching.  Right now, we're binge-watching the Dr Blake Mysteries (2013-2018) on Brit Box.  Just finished Grantchester on PBS and Endeavor, also on PBS.  All good shows if you're into police procedurals.  We enjoy them.

Well, I can't think of anything else to bore you with so, I'll sign off for now.  Oh!  One more thing...

I just found out our Vee from, A Haven for Vee , sadly lost her battle with breast cancer.  She was such a sweet Blogger Friend...always a kind word.
If you could, say a prayer for the family.

So, until next time...

Aww Sloane's so cute with her little tattoo! Levi gave us all tattoos while we were on vacation! Please don't remind me of the holidays! In spite of your warning, I will probably be unprepared! Love Larry's ring! Can't wait to see yours! Happy Saturday my friend! XO

Such a delightful illustration to start off your post, and the little turtle nearer the end. Yes, having a slow week is a good thing, especially after all that has gone on before. A good way to decompress. I love a good seafood restaurant. This one looks very inviting. We are also having the high temperatures. I probably would have gone for the outside seating. Hubby bought these two things that you put in the freezer to get nice and cold, you hang them around your neck. He went to a baseball game wearing them. I will be taking them out if I spend any length of time in these high 90s. With it being 105 in the shade, I would have given him mine and said see ya! Lol! It looks like a very inviting restaurant. I like the look of that yummy food (Larry’s too) and also the towel holder, cute! Sloane is so adorable, and with that cute tattoo. Love the photo with Gampa and her mommy. Her sweet face would just brighten up a room. Thanks for the funnies and love those bobble-head likenesses of you both. Cute and a great idea! As for the holidays, haven’t done anything for Halloween or Thanksgiving yet, but I already have some stocking stuffers for Christmas. That ring is beautiful and I hope you get yours real soon! What a great way to celebrate. Thanks for the recommends on the TV shows. I have always wanted to watch Grantchester. Endeavor interests me too as I was a big fan of the older version of this character. Oh that’s sad about Vee, I didn’t know her but I do know it’s always sad to lose a blogging friend, we’re like one big family. Take care and enjoy your weekend.

Sloane is fashionable with her tattoo!
I am feeling a little better and we decided to go on holidays beginning of September to rest by the sea! To a thalassotherapy with my husband.
Larry’s ring looks very nice . My husband just brought me a pair of new earrings!
Hope to see your ring soon!
I wish you a nice weekend.

Umm, Yummm, that shrimp plate would have been my choice too. It's my favorite seafood.
Cutie Sloane and her tat and delightful flirty smile...Love Grandpa playing with Sloane. Perfect photo.
Wow those bobbleheads are terrific. What a treasure, even if your eye color wasn't right..
That ring is gorgeous. I can't wait to see yours.
Umm, really ??Do you have to keep teasing me with all the yummy food??
Dave is drooling from across the room.
Slow weeks are wonderful. Our big excitement for the day is going to Home Depot and Staples. We have to use up our $25.00 off coupon before it expires. SO EXCITING!!!
Enjoy the rest of your weekend. Stay cool

Lots of pleasant news. That's a good thing! Congratulations on 50 years!! We made it to 33 before my hubby sprinted off to glory. So much good food! I think I may be a little allergic to shrimp, but it sure is good. Enjoy your Sloane sitting! :)

I'm kind of drooling over Larry's lunch. That looks sooooo good.
Sloane is just so darn cute. Love her tattoo.
I've got craft projects in mind for Christmas presents so I need to get busy and work on them.
Larry's ring is very nice. Hope yours comes in soon.

Cute Bobbleheads...and lovely ring. I wonder if yours will be a matching one.
Neither I nor my DH are fans of sea food which seems a shame since we live here on the west coast where so much is available. We do like salmon but nothing else.

Your reminder about the holidays was not happily accepted. For many years I've wished I could go to sleep a week before Thanksgiving and wake up a week after New Year's. Holidays exhaust me and although they were never unpleasant, they were never as happy as I would have liked. (I think my expectations were too high)

Your week seems to have been JUST. BUSY. ENOUGH. I'm always happy when I can say there haven't been any major upsets.

Your new rings are beautiful. Just a few more days for yours to arrive!

Cute turtle, Sloane as lovely as ever.
Do like the wedding ring, and it would be disappointing that yours hadn't arrived but not too long to wait.
Take care.

Thank you for the many smiles...and Vee, she was a treasure. She and my son would often email/FaceTime...and when he suddenly passed away, it broke her heart etc. This too has broken my heart.

You're absolutely right, Donna, slow weeks aren't a bad thing! I'm actually longing for one myself :-)
Sloane's tattoo and trendy hat made me smile, as did your Bobble-heads. Such a shame they didn't get the colour of your eyes right!
Isn't Endeavour fantastic, by the way? We are re-watching old episodes of Midsomer Murders the moment! xxx

Yes, indeed I am saying a prayer for Vee's family. She was a very sweet blogging friend. I wonder if her family knows how many people she touched on her blog?
Loved this post, by the way, full of life and love! x

I'm sorry to hear about Vee. WOW Larry's ring is absolutely breathtaking and I'm so glad y'all went for some bling!!!! Cannot WAIT to see yours! One of the happiest days of my life was when I got my two ring upgrades ... one at 30 years and the other at 40 years. I have no idea YET what I'll want at 50 but I promise you, it will involve diamonds, hahaha! WOW again, that peeled shrimp lunch looks fantastic. And that tri-tip off the smoker! Yowza that is mouth watering. Little Sloaney Girl sure is a precious treasure and I am right there with you, counting the days as they slide off the calendar. We are only one month away from my beloved -ber months, and that means a whole lot of decorating, cooking, and present buying. I am here for all of it. xoxo

First, I'm so sorry to hear about your blog friend. I've heard of her blog before, and I will say a prayer for the family. Those are the cutest bobble-heads. What a fun gift that was. yaaay, Sloane got a tatoo, and a unicorn is perfect. The restaurant looks like a charming place to eat. Wow, that is a lot of shrimp! love the picture of Sloane and grandpa with her new hat haha. Yes, the holidays will be here before ya know it. That's a good idea to get things little by little. Makes it easier that way too. That smoked tri-tip looks amazing. There's nothing like barbecued meat.

Wishing you happy August days, Donna.

I love it when I have a week (or more) where I have no obligations. I find peace and quiet so relaxing. Your seafood lunch is really giving me ideas. That looks delicious! Now I’m craving seafood. I got quite a chuckle out of your coin jar. What a great way to save money. I think I would have one of those filled up in no time.
