God...Gallbladders, Cheese and Ghouls.

Good morning, friends...
The last few weeks have been incredibly busy.  I don't want to say scary but the truth of it, it has been, and the ride isn't over yet.  We are still waiting for the Larry's bladder biopsy results.  Maybe we'll get them Monday?  No clue.  Still feverishly praying for good results...and just Believing.
Oh...did I mention that when they did a CT Scan, they found his gallbladder needed to come out, as well?  Well, long story short, they took it out.  A one-and-a-half-hour procedure turned into a four and a half hour marathon.  It was the worse gallbladder the surgeon had ever seen, and he didn't know how Larry felt no ill effects!  But it's out...and he's already doing better.

My "walking and praying " path on the surgical floor...waiting...

This is how we feel...

Notice anything wrong with this cheese stick packaging?  They shortened the amount about an inch!!

Anyone else do this?  If we eat out and are given tons of these packets, I always throw the un-used ones into my purse.  Over time, it can add up!  I refuse to throw them away.  I've become my Mother...

Samantha, Sloane's Mom, sent us these shots of their family photo shoot.   The quality isn't terrific because I copied them off my computer screen.  Goodness!  Larry and I needed a smile!!

Sloane's super nice daycare contacted Sam and told her they now have a spot for Sloane...only took almost two years to get accepted!
I'm still the back-up sitter...just in case...We already are missing her.

We love these sweet Babies...

Made this sometime last week...don't get me 'ta lying about when...lol

Just when I felt at my lowest...this arrived!  How did you know, sweet Ann... It's fun and cheery, just what I needed.  I haven't been able to sit down long enough to do one of my own but hopefully, soon.  I can't say, Thank you...enough.

Clowns...One and All!  I'm so angry at our country's state of affairs...

As for this house, we stand with Israel...

Well, that's about it for me.  I tried to keep it short and to the point today.  The weeks are flying by!  So... until next time...

That's a lot of busyness and stress. Praying for good results!
Adorable pic of Sloane - just what you needed.
I'm with you on the current state of affairs. We stand with Israel as well.

Medical issues and uncertainties can be so draining. Keep praying.

The family pics are beautiful, what a great pick-me-up.

And yes, they are a bunch of clowns.

Hope you get some great news soon. We have to keep remembering that God is in control!

Oh my, your husband has been through it! Anytime my husband has had surgery, he has always been told, "well, that was about the WORST ever" by a surgeon! I guess they have to say but I do wonder how that helps? LOL! Keep praying and keep laughing at life! That Sloane is adorable. xx

Larry's certainly been through it, as have you with worry. Hopefully though he's well and truly on the mend now. That little smiley Sloane must make you smile too! What a little charmer. Sending good wishes to you and yours, Donna.

First off, I'm so sorry Larry has been going through all of this. I do hope it gets better for him, and he gets the proper care through it all. Oh, these are wonderful photos of Sloane and the family. She looks so cute with that big green bow in her hair. Yes, sometimes I keep the soy sauce packets from the Chinese restaurant to have later. Your steak meal looks delicious. Yes, our blog friends seem to come around when we need them the most.

Take care, Donna. You are going through a lot right now. Thinking of you on this Sunday morning.

I’m praying for good results with Larry’s test results. Stressful for you I know that, and very scary. I am glad to know he is feeling better. The photos of Sloane and her parents, very sweet. I collect the unused packets too, seems such a waste not to and then I intend to take them out on a picnic if I don’t use them at home. I often say I have become my mother, absolutely hate waste! For me it’s being a post-war baby after our parents had to be so frugal during rationing and I find they passed that frugality onto me. It becomes more deeply imbedded as I get older. Ann makes wonderful cards and what a treat to get one. Yum on the food! As for our politics, sheesh! As for world events, heartbreaking and horrifying. Praying for you and Larry, praying for peace and sending hugs.

Hopefully Larry is on the mend. It's a very stressful situation to be in and worrying about the results and everything else. You both are in my thoughts and prayers. Take care and have a good week.

Oh my, that sounds like one hell of a ride. Poor Larry, and poor you, it must have been truly nerve-wracking waiting for surgery to be over! I'm keeping you both in my thoughts and am keeping my fingers firmly crossed!
As always, the photos of little Sloane made me smile. She is so cute!
Here in Belgium, you have to apply for daycare as soon as you're pregnant in order to get a place. Preferably even before :-)
Oh, and I do that too, grabbing any unused packets and throwing them in my purse. And I don't think we're alone :-) xxx

À lot of stress and waiting . I keep Larry and you in my prayers and hope everything goes well again soon. This is nice to see Sloane such a nice little girl!

Oh man, what a week you've had! I hope Larry gets good results from his biopsy. And good thing they caught that gallbladder before it caused him excruciating pain! Take it from someone who knows! Love the picture of Sloan and her mom and dad! Full disclosure: All those little packets you get with takeout drive me crazy, so I empty the mustard, ketchup and mayo packets in the bottles we have in the fridge, and the sugar in my sugar bowl. I draw the line at the salt and pepper packets, though. I just keep them with my salt and pepper shakers and use them whenever. LOL! Crazy I know! XO

Oh No! You certainly have a LOT going on. I pray for quick answers and recovery. Those darn gall bladders go bad FAST. Sometimes it comes on gradually and he probably got used to feeling "crummy" and didn't realize it. I hope he feels better soon. And you can rest. I have you in my prayers. Thank goodness for that sweet baby to keep you smiling! I agree about our government. What a mess. It's scary, frustrating, and discouraging. We are so vulnerable to our enemies.

Wowzers, what a lot on your "plate".
I'm so glad Larry is doing well... that gall bladder out is going to make him feel so, so much better. Trusting the Lord for a good report on the CT scan.
We stand with Israel too and the picture of the clowns says it all (as far as my political rant will allow)
Oh the pictures of Sloane are priceless. What I especially love about the one of her sitting on the stool in the grasses is that bare, slightly earthy foot sticking out. That is perfection.
And yes, I am turning into Dave's Mom...packets go into my purse on a regular basis. Unfortunately some get forgotten and then we have some icky to deal with..haha..
Prayers continuing
Sue

Holding you, Larry and the family in my prayers for a speedy recovery, positive results and renewed strength each day. God bless xx
Sweet Sloane, lovely pictures and I'm glad she has a day care place now.
And yes, we do the same thing with those little packets :-)

Ugh dear Donna! So sorry about Larry's health scare. Sounds like it will take more than a rogue gall bladder to take him out, though! We too stand with Israel. xoxo

It's hard to believe that your husband had no discomfort from his gall bladder yet it was in need of taking out. Good that that's done. Now for a good result from the bladder biopsy.

With my mom and HH it was always taking the unused napkins:)

PS Hope today is a good day for both of you.
