October... Anniversary...Christmas and Mice

Good morning, Friends!

It seems like I was just here but the date of my last post, says otherwise! Not that I have any great news to report...

But it was our 51st anniversary on the 26th of September.  What did we do?  Ate lunch out at Tejun's Restaurant.  Buttered shrimp plates.  Really good!

Truth!

I've been trying to learn to do design on Inkscape....hard for me but at least I learned how to print my design from there.  Mostly, I use Canva.  Our daughter saw a photo of this design and wanted it for Sloane...I found photos of baby animals and added the Bible phrases with chapter and verse.

Sublimation on 100% cotton

No...your eyes aren't deceiving you...Lolol...and yes, that's a swimming pool you see in our living room.  Sloane is having a blast with it.

Sloane modeling the Dr Pepper carton...Very
chic !!!
If your player won't play it...just change web browsers.  My Internet Explorer won't play some videos but FireFox will, as will Chrome.

If you have unfriendly critters from outside looking for a cool or warm spot to nest in your home...you need to try this recipe!
Ratio of 1:1 each of Jiffy Honey muffin mix (any flavor will do as long as it's sweet).
Mice can't burp...so the baking soda, in essence, kills them...days after ingesting it.  It's not harmful to your pets (because they can burp)
It takes a few days or weeks to see results but it does work.
Cut a round hole in the front of each container so the critter can chow down.  About an inch round.  Put the lid back on and find a spot where you think they have a path.

2011,  I  think...

4 years ago...We've both lost weight.

Lol...

What??  A Christmas tree??  Where?? lolol
I still need to decorate it...and it's in our playroom/TV room/Laundry area.
I love Christmas and never use to put up a tree until after Thanksgiving but hey...we're not getting any younger!  And I like to celebrate as long as possible!

Our Sloane, modeling a Dr Pepper carton...see video above... lol
Well, that's about it for me.  Hope you all are at peace, well and happy.
So until next time...

Happy Anniversary! I like the pics of you two, you look great.
And so does Sloane - so cute in the carton.
I love the shirt you made for her.
Ha on the band-aid. We understand that here!
I never understood all that carpet and covering in the bathroom. Not a good plan.
The pool in the living room for Sloane is a good plan though.

Happy anniversary! Love the pool in the living room, now Sloane has another fun place to play. Cool t-shirt, I like it. Christmas tree will look great once you decorate it. We've seen some people get upset about having it up early. We always say, who cares when it goes up, we enjoy it. So, enjoy decorating your tree, take care and have a great new week.

Love the shirt, you did a great job. Looks like you got that sublimation thing figured out.
Sloane is so cute. That video of her with the box on her head was adorable. Fun idea with the kiddie pool

Happy anniversary ! I would have celebrated 54 years if he didn't pass away last year. Thanks for you kind comment. I have never been sick and still have only this COPD lung disease. But all the miseries I have now are psychical, we had a very good marriage and I feel as a leg is missing.

Happy Anniversary and oh my, don't those buttered shrimp look good?
The bandaid joke is hilarious ... but so true :-)
Little Sloane in her swimming pool and modelling that Dr. Pepper carton made me chuckle too!
Can't believe we're in the run-up to Christmas already. Surely, last Christmas was just ... a couple of week ago? Perhaps we should leave the tree up all year, it just comes around quicker every year! xxx

Happy Anniversary! Your celebration lunch looks delicious! Love both the photos of you and Larry! Sloan is adorable! Aren't grandkids so precious and entertaining? I love the shirt you made her! Ugh, I have barely accepted fall and can't even begin to think about Christmas! Although, I do love my tree when it's up! XO

Happy Anniversary. I love all the pictures of you and your dearest! You just get better with age I say!
Loved the Living Room Pool, one happy camper!

Love the Dr. Pepper Hat!! so styling!!!

Our Pastor LOVES Christmas, and yesterday at church, he said the trees are up! That's at his home. They decorate the church after Thanksgiving.

I like Christmas, but have cut way back on decorations. Our little Villa Unit is too small. But big enough to have the "Christmas Flavor". I love the tall skinny trees. Maybe I will get one this year.

That is too funny of Sloane wearing the Dr. Pepper carton on her head. She's soooo cute in that last picture. I had a small Christmas tree that I gave away to Jess. It already has the lights, so it just needs ornaments every year. She loves it. Can't wait to see your tree decorated this year. Oh my, remember all those rugs in the bathroom and the toilet covers? That is such a wonderful idea to make the baby t-shirt and add Bible verses. That shrimp meal looks delicious with the corn on the cob and potatoes.

Happy Anniversary, and fifty one years is special, indeed.

Great picture of Sloane in her swimming pool. Too funny.
No problem viewing the little video Sloane is just so cute.
There's probably no way I can get away with putting up the Christmas tree before Nov. 1st. I'm always anxious to put it up and enjoy it for months, not just a few weeks :)
