Miss Kitty...Boobs, Baggy and Books.

Good morning. Friends... Hope you all are doing well and are happy.
Again, not much going on here with the old folks.  We are getting closer to being able to make good friends with our little feral cat, Miss Kitty.  She's letting me pet her and Larry got to actually pick her up.  He started feeding her early on so she's just getting to know me.  We had ugly thunderstorms last night again...I worry that she's in a safe place. Since we started feeding her about two months ago, she's been putting on some weight...finally.  She was skin and bones.

Miss Kitty

Had to go in for my mammogram...got the report, on my app, later that day even though the tech said I wouldn't get it for about three days....  All good news.  Will see me next year.  I had an aunt that had breast cancer so, they just want to keep checking me.  It's okay by me.

Wings in the oven by Larry...we love them.

Larry went to Home Depot and came back with me another present...Love this silly thing!
Holds my plastic bags open, no matter the size.

Ever used rice paper?  I used them in the skillet for the outer covering for our omelets.  They fry up crispy.  It's a different take on the recipe.  I think though, I'll stick with eggrolls.

I made a quick lunch for us on Thursday.  Baked potatoes, fully loaded.  So good.

Our babies came for a long visit!  Daughter Crystal, Samantha and Sloane.  Sam had to work but Crystal and Sloane stayed...played and visited.

Mommy styling Sloane's hair for a hot date with Daddy.  They were heading to a family reunion fish-fry.

Earlier in the day, I pulled out the "Intelligent" hi-chair for Sloane to sit on. This 1947 dictionary has 2006 pages of words and another 500 pages of laws, populations as of 1947...etc.  Makes for a huge book.  The thing about it is, My sister and I sat on it...Our children sat on it...Our grandchildren and now our great grandchild sat on it.  It's got a history with our line.

Oh yes...I see this happening on a daily basis.

So...I think I just need to start planning for Christmas 2024...lolol
Well, that's about it for me.  Hope all is going well in your world.
So until next time...

That's some dictionary. Makes for a great high chair and how cool that it has so much history.
Miss Kitty reminds me of my daughters one cat Fluffy. The only difference is that Fluffy is white.

Love Sloane's Intelligent highchair! That book sure does have history! Glad your mammogram is clear for another year! Always grateful for mine! I have one Gen X and one Millennial child. The wings look delicious!

Oh my gosh, that dictionary has got some real use out of it. That's a good idea to use it as a high chair. It goes way back in your family to when you were little, what memories you have. I LOVE "The old words" quote. Isn't that the truth? Sloane looks so funny looking at Samantha's phone. The kids start at such a young age with technology. I remember my son started computers at 5 in school. I'm glad you showed the generations chart. That always confused me. And Larry's wings look really good. I'm so glad to hear your mammogram went well. I'm not really a cat person, but Miss Kitty is so pretty. I've never seen a cat with that deep brown fur before. So good of you to take such good care of her.

**those pink roses and the letter made my heart smile. ; )

Donna! That massive dictionary! I love itttt!!!!!! Love that quote about intelligent people too. I am so sick of this ridiculous culture of everyone being offended. I can't believe you did not already HAVE one of those hold-the-bag-open things! I have wanted one for centuries, hahaha! Oh and I got the spin cleaning tool that you recommended and I love it. Just love it. My showers are sparkling!!!!

Not for nothing but the other day I read about aNOTHER generational cohort ... and I am in it!

"Generation Jones is the cohort born roughly between 1955 and 1965, sandwiched right between the Baby Boomers and Generation X. This generation came of age during a time of profound societal change, and their experiences were heavily influenced by the cultural and political shifts of the 1960s and 1970s."

Can't argue with that. Our Dagny is generation alpha and I can confirm that they are DIFFERENT ... hahaha! xoxo

What was before Boomers? Whatever it is that's what I am. Yep, I belong to the elderly group. lol I hate waiting for test results, it makes me a little antsy and I know God holds me. What's up with that? Your blog is so pretty, I enjoyed my visit.

Thank you Donna, always fun to read your wonderful posts and see all the great photos. Good for you on going to get your mammogram, such a seriously important thing to do. What an angel to come to Miss Kitty's rescue. I'm glad she's warming up to you. I've never tried rice paper, I'll have to give them a go, especially with this recipe. Adorable photos of Sloane with her mommy. Loved the food and the funnies and the wise sayings. In fact I loved it all, just in case I missed anything. Have a great rest of the week and if I don't get back to you beforehand, Happy Mother's Day!

Absolutely adore that quote...it certainly does speak of the times we are seeing. Glad you girls got to stop and visit. Hope you had a delightful Mother's Day and wishing you a great week to come.
