Elections...Halloween, Faithful and Time Change.

Don't forget to Fall Back One Hour on Saturday night, here in the States!

Well, good morning, Friends!  I guess by now, you know it's Halloween...lol
We have been a little busier since my eye surgery.  It gets old just doing nothing!  Depressing...and I've certainly felt depressed.  Feelings are hard to digest when all you do is sit or walk around the house.  So many things swirling around in your mind...We have gotten out and I have even begun to drive myself on short errands.  The gas bubble is now gone, thank goodness, but there's a slight, tiny, light gray area in the center of my vision that when I'm looking with both eyes, disappears.  But when I cover my left eye, I can see it...crazy.  My checkup isn't until Nov 21st so, we'll see what Doc says.

I planted this orange mum yesterday...we'll see how long it last.

Griselda, the half blind witch, had a slight accident... I'm not too sure she'll be up to Sloane's visit later this evening!

She has Gamma and Gampa thoroughly, wrapped!

And here's Miss Kitty, on patrol for any little ghost or goblins within her kingdom...She's doing so good!  She is coming into the house, through the dog door, almost constantly, without any prompting from Larry or myself.  I believe she'll do well when Winter comes...

Larry's been in the shop a lot recently working on Christmas presents.  I love how he decorated these for our tree...

The air fryer has been getting a workout...

                                Thighs and parmesan potatoes.

And chicken wings...

Taco Tuesday at Rosa's

And I must say, Libby the Pug has been my constant companion throughout this whole ordeal...I mean like Velcro! lolol
Poor sweetie...Animals are so intelligent!  They know...

My Dad was Chief Radioman during WW2...in the Pacific Theater.  I have this telegram from his time aboard the USS Bulmer, two pages with the battles in Germany...various movements...announcements by Gen Eisenhower...How the British captured over 2000 troops    Well, I've been trying to contact the WW2 Museum in New Orleans for ages now to see if they would like my donation...silence.  I don't know who else to contact.  If you do, please let me know...It's newsy and I don't want it lost...It's a treasure.

Well, I suppose I'll wrap things up...Please pray for our country.

Go Vote, if you haven't already.

God has a plan...no matter what awaits us, stay strong and believe.

So, until next time...

I'm so glad to read that your eye problems are getting better - must be so debilitating not being able to see or do much, I can understand your depression. You're so right, animals DO know!

If no one in New Orleans wants his telegrams you know i'll take them. William might even like to have those one day.

And have lots of fun with plenty of pics!

Glad that your eye is getting better. I sure remember when my husband went through this. It was so long for him. Hopefully the gray spot will disappear before your next appointment. I am marking the date on my calendar to stop and pray for this Country!! Of course, I pray everyday, but I want to join in prayer during this special time. I enjoyed your sweet pictures this morning. Enjoy your goblings.

Donna, it's always good to see a post up from you. Doing nothing tends to make me melancholy too. I've been remembering you in prayer on a daily basis.

Your food photos always make me hungry! Those chicken thighs make me want to head to the kitchen to make some!

I wish I knew who you could contact about that treasure of a telegram from your dad's time in WW2. And I do mean treasure! I don't know if contacting just the Veterans Association would help any or not...maybe they could give you the name of someone to contact.

And that Obama quote...oh my goodness. It's happening right before our eyes, if people could only see.

Have a wonderful remainder to your weekend.

I'm so glad your eye is doing better. Praying the gray spot will go away asap.
I am shocked at the Parental Rights bill voting. If the Republicans loose the House we are really in for trouble. That's terrible 203 Nay votes. God help us.
Obama's quote is frightening too.
Prayer is our only tool. I did vote already.
So much to think about.

So glad to hear that your eye is better.Hope you find a solution for the light gray area you're seeing.
I can't believe no one contacted you about that telegram. You would think they would want something like that.

Those are neat ornaments that Larry made with the names. He's getting skilled making things in his work shop. I'm sorry you are still experiencing a slight grey area in your eye. I hope that clears up soon. The thighs and parmesan potatoes look delicious. And the Tuesday tacos sure looks good. I hope your Mums continue to do to do well. Isn't that something that you have the telegram from your dad during the war. I'm sure the museum would appreciate that. Don't worry too much about our nation, my friend. This is God's world, and He is taking care of it.

**that hot drink on the first picture reminds me of the hot toddies my dad used to make. I really miss them.

Glad your eye is healing. I hope there is a solution for the gray spot, that would be annoying to have all the time. Have a wonderful week.

So good that you are feeling better! Your Air Fryer chicken looks great! I would try your local VFW or American Legion they may want it to read at a Veteran's Day program. I am certain that someone should have it...there must be more WW2 museums than New Orleans. Good Luck with it.

The human body is so amazing. Your other eye will compensate for the deficiencies of the eye that had the op. I’m sure both will be working perfectly by your appointment
Sending you all positive vibes for the best possible outcome from your election

I'm glad the eye is improving and will pray that it continues to do that.
Oh that Sloane! She is so adorable.
Larry is very talented - he does so many things.
Politics - it's sad indeed. And so many don't even see what's happening.
Can you tell me what kind of air fryer you have? I still want to get one, but have no idea what kind.

Good to know the bubble is gone, good lucky with your eye and do hope that grey spot goes, somehow our eyes adjust to things like that. Your cooking in the airfryer looks very good, we have one but don't used it that often, we use the barbecue or oven.
Take care.

Glad your eye is getting better. The food looked awesome. I have an air fryer on my stove and have yet to use it. God Bless America and I hope we do not become a socialist country. Its one generation away I am afraid. Janice

I’m so glad to hear that your eye is doing better. I know it can be depressing, but it just takes time, and you have to be patient and wait it out. Fortunately, for someone like me, who loves being in the house (because I have hundreds of thousands of projects to work on), that’s never a problem.

I did not know that Monday, November 4 was a national day of prayer. I am going to be taking part in that. I fear for what is to come, to be honest.

Good to know your eyes are improving Donna. Those telegrams are a true family treasure. Our fur-family always know. I remember my sweet Bridgette laying her head on my lap and staring up at me with such soulful eyes in times of despair. Adorable pictures of Sloane, she is incredibly cute. And your food always look incredible! I love the ornaments that Larry made for your tree, he is a true artist in every sense of the word. The elections are a time of great stress for all, add onto that your eye operation, I am praying you will be totally healed soon and this will be behind you. May you have a Happy November Donna and sending a big hug.

Certainly hope that eye gets 100% very soon. I empathize with you about not being able to do what you want to do. It can be very depressing. Yes, we all need to be praying for our country. We need more peace, less violence, more understanding, less hate... Will be on my knees at 6 p.m.

Hi Donna. I hope that your eyes heal up well and that you have no further problems. It is hard to keep spirits up when you can't be as active as you want to be. I have been praying for our nation and will continue to do so. This election truly has me worried, and I will be glad to have it over with. Your granddaughter is darling. I hope you can find a good home for that very historic telegram. Have a good Sabbath. See you again soon!

You quickly become unsettled if your check-up appointment with the doctor is still a long time away. I send you best healing wishes.

Thanks for your recent comment, and I am sorry for your health issues. We are of an age.

My memory might be deceiving me, but I don't think that I ever unfollowed you as such. If I am correct, you stopped posting for a time, and I never really picked you up again when you re-emerged.

I'm so glad that your eye is better! And I think I am most happy about Kitty coming in now. That will be nice to know that she is safe this winter. God help us all with the election and the outcome.
