Parenting...Pie, Chicken and Comments.

Well, good morning, Friends...Just so you'll know, I've had to revert comments to monitor.  On my last post, some of you may have seen comments left by two individuals names Anonymous and Peaches.  They were sickening, nasty and vile.  As a Conservative, I've learned to take some abuse from the Far left, (Not Democrats) and at first, I was going to leave their comments up for all to see so that maybe more people would understand the sickness and depravity that has taken them over.  Sadly, or at least I thoughtfully decided they will never change as the comments continued...so I decided to monitor them...I also lost 3 followers because of my stance in politics.  It's sad that people can't have a say without being punished for their beliefs.  So be it...I'll live.

Anyway...on to happier news!!

We are going to be great Grandparents once again!! That makes two impending births in this coming year!  Sami in June and our Sara in March!  We are over the Moon happy!

Sami and Everett...and Sloane, big sister!

Little Stitch...I'm thinking, Girl...

Tylar and Sara...

We all enjoyed this show...so many years ago!

Our SIL Tim order this pie somewhere...and fell in love with it.  It's an Apple Crumble Caramel Pie.  Well, it's sold at a bakery about an hour from us.  I decided to make my copycat version of it.  Oh, my goodness!  It's delicious and so easy to make.  I just took a Marie Calendars, ready-made apple pie, homemade some crumble mixture...sprinkled it thickly on top of the pie, baked it...and when it had cooled, I squeezed a store-bought caramel sauce on top.  I should have made my own!  You couldn't really taste the caramel.  But the pie was really good anyway.  I'll be making it again for Thanksgiving with my homemade sauce.

Isn't this beautiful?  The powers that be, have done a rendition from the Shroud, of what they believe Christ may have looked like...to me, it's beautiful but I believe he had blue eyes and reddish hair...long story.  If you research the area that he lived in, you'll find the peoples were of this fair coloring...anyway, it's thought provoking.

It was time for fried chicken...

This is a sad, dividing plan...hopefully it's not true...

Larry brought me one of those Pecan Pie cookies and Libby was a bit upset that he didn't bring her one! lol... (yes, I gave her a nibble).

A surprise visit from William's new girlfriend, Cailin. Our daughter Crystal and Tim said they really like her...which is great news.

And finally, what's a post without our Sloane in it?  And Happy Veterans Day to all those that served and are serving!  Thank you all for your service!!

Well, I suppose that's about it for this week.  Hope you all enjoy a beautiful day...and are staying healthy or at least are healing.
So, until next time...

Two new babies!!! How exciting and congratulations!!!! I understand about the comments, sigh. Wishing you a beautiful week, smiles.

Some of the comments you got were pretty obscene, lots of F-bombs and whatnot. There's a lot of meltdown now on TikTok, Youtube, Facebook, and political sites that use the Disqus comment system. Same thing happened in 2016, then after a while it all died down so I assume the same will happen this time around. A lot of people are also not aware that some, not all of these inflammatory comments come from overseas so called troll farms, in China, Russia, Iran, NK to name a few, done to sow social upheaval and conflict.

Congrats on the exciting news! Your love for your beautiful family shines through your posts. Also, your love for food! Haha - it all looks scrumptious.

I had two anonymous comments this morning and they were not at all positive in any way...I don't like having degrading comments, so I deleted them...😳. Big Congratulations to the expecting parents.. Two new babies will be awesome! What a clever idea to take the pie and dress it up... Who would not that all of it wasn't homemade straight from your kitchen...I'm gonna try this. Happy Monday to you and hope this is a wonderful Veterans Day.

Sloan is the perfect Post Script to a happy post. two new babies and all your beautiful family. I did not see the comments you talk about and they might have been bots not bloggers. other countries did a lot of fake comments and news and bots can hit a lot. when I get something like that I just spam and delete. I almost did the monitor thing the first of this year because I got 32 hits from the same bot, I actually sat and watched them pour in like a machine gun. it took way to much time to delete them all. I personally, me myself and I never comment on political posts or post anything political. its a mine/mind field and can cause hard feelings..

So exciting about the 2 new grands ... what a joy! Congratulations to parents, grandparents and greats. It's a shame, like you said, that people can't tolerate different opinions.

Oh my goodness. Two new babies in the family. How exciting.
Very sad about those comments you got. To me it shows a lack of character and sadly so many democrats have that same attitude. I know a few personally that are like that and I NEVER mention anything political to them. We all have a right to our opinions.
So does Taylor Swift and Beyonce think that is going to hurt anyone's feelings?...lol

Oh, Sloane is gong to be a big sister, wonderful! Your apple caramel pie looks scrumptious. I think the caramel adds an extra something. There was a girl, Akiane Kramarik, who did a painting of Jesus, and it's a beautiful painting. I always refer to that picture when I pray. You can read the story about the painting sometime. There's nothing like fried chicken. Yours looks tasty. Have you ever tried Krispy Krunchy fried chicken? It is the best I've ever had. I love that picture of Sloane with the baby. When Francesca was around that age, I had a baby doll that she used to play with, and I still have that doll in my cabinet.

I absolutely love that first picture of the pie, hot drink, and soft pink roses. It's so charming and cozy looking.

Have a terrific week.

congrats on the two new babies on the way. sounds like you you have had some wornderful trea I am not much for politics it so I stay out of the mess. I did look up the Taylor Swift and Beyonce thing you posted. I had not heard that. I looked in several places to make sure my information was correct. And that statement is false. It is just someone trying to divide people and cause an argument.

Congratulations on the 2 new babies coming to your family. I'm excited to see them and I guess I am so mushy for babies.
I did read that one comment and thought it was so awful. So sorry we can't say our own opinions without someone getting their panties in a wad. Sorry about your blog friends opting out because of your beliefs. That is really sad.
I am trying so hard to loose some weight that has crept up on me this year... and then I see this scrumptious easy to do pie...Yumm and the 2 pounds I lost came right back on !!

Thank you so much for sharing your beliefs! Also, I'm super hungry now, that chicken and pie look delicious. I'm excited for you to have 2 new additions to your family. I will welcome my first grandchild sometime at the end of this month or beginning of December. We are so excited I've already booked a carpet cleaning in Springdale, AR even though I know he won't be walking or crawling on our floors anytime soon. I can't help but nest a little! Hope you have a beautiful day.
