Senior Moments Tag! (For Me At Least)!

1. The rules of the game are posted at the beginning.

2. Each player answers the questions about themselves.

3. The player then tags 5 people, goes to their Blogs and leaves them a comment telling them they've been tagged and asking them to read their Blog.

WHAT WERE YOU DOING 10 YEARS AGO?

Working at the plumbing shop with Hubby

5 SNACKS I ENJOY.Popcorn with cherry sours and chocolate covered peanuts, lemons with salt, smokehouse almonds, sweet pickles and fried chicken…and YES…fudge!

THINGS I WOULD DO IF I WERE A BILLIONAIRE.First of all, I’d invest it in something that would bring about a huge turnover. Then I’d relieve any of my families debts, set up a foundation and let it do the research for people in need of help.

FIVE JOBS THAT I HAVE HAD.

Secretary at humane society (dog pound) I was 15yrs old.
IBM Keypunch Operator (19yrs old)
Pediatric Nurse
OB-GYN Nurse
Plumbing business with Hubby

THREE OF MY BAD HABITS.

Too emotional (Still can't watch Braveheart

Too trusting

Making sure the family does Not take a shower during an ELECTRICAL STORM!! (Hubby thinks I'm crazy! He says he's Never heard about this)!! Someone help me here!!!LOL....

FIVE PLACES I HAVE LIVED.

New London, Connecticut (born there)
Waco, Texas
Cedar Springs, Texas
Robinson, Texas

That's it!!!

FIVE PEOPLE I WANT TO KNOW MORE ABOUT.

My very sweet blogging buddy, Margot, tagged me! This isn't as easy as it looks! So, I'm going to play by the rules this time and tag:

Anvilcloud
Gordon

Key punch operator!! I was doing the SAME thing when I was 19!! Wow.

Electrical storms - You are SO right, stay away from the tub or shower. I remember once, just put my second foot on the floor from the tub, lightening struck the fuse box right outside the bathroom door! KABOOM!! Thank the good Lord I wasn't still in the tub. :)

This seems like a decent sort of meme to work with. Maybe in a few days.

That's some neat info Miz Donna. I like learning more about my friends.

P.S. I'll back you on the lightening thing. The danger has something to do with the vents and the pipes and of course, water being a great conductor.

Donna said...

Sally- LOL...Even the words...keypunch operator...date us!!!LOL...And THANK YOU for the support!! I'm making Hubby read ALL of your responses!!!hughugs

Ac- Great!! Just want to see if you did anything crazy in your youth!!LOL..hughugs

I won't take a bath during an electrical storm, and I won't use a corded phone.

Our meteorologists always advise people not to stand by windows or doorways if theirs lightning. They say a lot more people are killed by lightning than tornadoes.

Donna said...

Annie- Thank You!!LOL..more fuel for my Bon-Fire!!LOL...hughugs

Enjoyed reading your list Donna! I have to agree with the electrical storm one. I won't go near water or go outside either.
Have a good day!
Hugs,
Donna

Donna said...

Donna- Boy!!LOL...Hubby's gonna catch it tonight!!! Thanks Girl!!hughugs

Jazzi- OhYeah!! Slice a lemon in half, sprinkle salt on it, and lick it. When it's down to the pulp, finish eating the pulp and throw the rhine away!! Wonderful...LOL...hughugs

We don't bathe during thunderstorms, because of the lightning. Or use the cordless phone.

You were an OB nurse? I desperately want to witness a baby being born. Mine were sections and I couldn't see anything. My mom did take pictures, but it's not the same thing. I was bugging my sister to let me be there when my nephew was born, and then she had a section too! I guess I'll have to wait for my girls to have babies.

Donna said...

Jenn- There's Nothing like "catching" a new little life! The Only one that was truly upsetting was one woman, I was assisting...baby was born. Dr X asked me to place the newborn on mothers chest so she could see her...Mother took one look at her and said, "get it Off me..Now"....broke our hearts.hughugs

I can't believe it! Someone else who likes lemons and salt.... I thought I was the only one. Once when I was a kid, I was on a plane and enjoying some lemon with salt on it, when the man next to me told me I'd grow up to be sour and salty. Well, he was wrong ... at least I think he was....

Hi Donna - Sorry to be a party pooper, but I see my blog mainly as a photographic blog and as part of the City Daily Photos network. It is not really a personal blog, so I do not wish to participate in the tagging exercise.

Donna said...

Gordon- No problem...It was a "only if you want to" thing! Have fun today!!hughugs

Donna, You are right about not taking a bath during a lightening storm. I have heard that before. And not to talk on the phone during a lightening storm either.
Thinking of you... xoxo Nita

I grew up with a mom who would not allow us to shower during storms, or use the phone. I had a great aunt who was "zapped" through the phone by lightning. She was okay, just shaken...so the story goes. I married a man who would shower during storms and talk on the phone but would never turn on the computer because it might "fry" it. I really don't know the scientific reasons behind it, just wanted to let you know that our family always did that as well.

Donna said...

Nita- Thanks!!! Another person on board!!LOL Hope you're starting to work in that gatden?? Should be nice!!hughugs

Hi Donna, didn't have time last week to visit, busy week and more to follow. I also have to setup my new laptop. (you know I like new things just like you do). I'm not sure if I will participate. What to do if I was a billonaire is a question I have an answer for and the bad habits there are probably enough of them, hahahaha!!!!! See you later, I appreciate your visits and I like blogging with you.
