It's 104degrees here at the house! I came in early, took one look at the dog and put him in the sink and gave him a good wash and cool off. I used Dawn to, So we'll see if it works on fleas...I didn't See any but he was itching and so qualified as a candidate for a wash-up!Hahaa....He also tried to run like the pup in the picture afterwards BUT...being almost blind and totally deaf...he didn't get very far. Oh well, guess I'll get in there and crank up the coffee pot...Did you know hot coffee actually Cools you down? It does...Happy Friday everyone!!

Have a Wonderful Weekend!

I have to agree about coffee cooling you off... I guess it gets your natural "air conditioning" fueled up. It's in the 80's up here... and I thought it was too warm. Lol! Sending cool breezy thoughts your way!

we hit 102 here today. it's awful.
not sure if you know this or not , but putting an overheated dog in cold or too cool water can put them in shock and kill them. obviously that didn't happen to yours-- thank goodness. but when i was a teenager, we were traveling, and while my mom was inside checking into a hotel, my sister, brother , and i, watched as a couple took their german shepherd out of the car--that they stupidly left him in for , i don't know how long.. but he was barely moving. they carried him to the pool and tossed him in-- and he died immediately. it was really really sad.
(was it that hot inside your house? or was your dog outside all day? poor thing.
anyways-- stay cool.. and have a great weekend.

Yikes! Now THAT is hot!!! We didn't even hit 85 today! So I guess I can't complain! It was pretty muggy all day though....And I think coffee is great anytime!! Hope your pup is feeling better now.
Brenda- No, No...Corky's a "house" dog...and we leave the A/C on while we are at work. He just looked scruffy and in need of a bath!

Yes, I know coffee will cool you ~ good reason to keep drinking. Of course, I even take coffee to the beach with me!

I have tried dawn in the past for fleas, and it never worked for me. However, I lathered my cat in olive oil, and the fleas were gone. Not a cheap method, but when the flea baths and collars didn't work, I was desperate.
Hope you find a way to stay cool this weekend!

Hot coffee to cool off is a mistery to me I forgot my brother's explanation that included physiology, mechanisms and other things (too long),the thing is that it works and it is good for the memory too, anyway I don't drink coffe so I'll find something else :)

It's been over a hundred here today too. It's hot enough to scorch a lizard's ass. I've been doing some very unladylike sweating!
Dang it! I knew what I was going to say, but I lost my thoughts laughing over what Brenda said. But yes, it's hot and miserable with no relief in sight. Better put on another pot of coffee!
