The Worst For Us Is Past....

Well, we made it...Ike turned again just a bit more to the east which took us out of the line of fire. We are Still experiencing high wind gust and rain but feel VERY fortunate to have missed the worst of it. Now the storm path is headed to Arkansas...Take care Miz Brenda!! Hopefully it'll let up by the time it gets to you!!

So we've settled in to Grandkids, a pot of Chile and listening to the rain. Guess I'll come down "off the ceiling"...hahahaaa.....and relax. Galveston took the brunt of Ike...It's pretty bad there. Thank you all for your prayers! They worked!! Peaceful and safe night to you all...

Oh, Donna! I am SO glad to hear that the worst of Ike is passed now. I heard on Norwegian TV that the storm was the worst in 50 years! So I understand that it must have been very bad.
Glad to hear that you all are doing well. Now we have to continue praying,- for Arkansas and the states around there. I hope they too will avoid the worst of this terrible storm.
Good night! I hope you will sleep well this night.

I'm so relieved that you're all safe darlin! I was watching the weather down there before I went to bed last night and it's the first thing I turned on this morning and I was surely worried about all the folks in line for that big boy.

We're having some gusty winds and loads of clouds already, and only a couple of very light showers today. I think it's getting pretty hairy over to the west and southwest of us though. Hoping Ike will skirt further north and east so that we won't get so much wind and rain off of him. The rice can't stand much more hurricane leavings.
