This little restaurant has been open for about a year. Right next door to our shop. The Mexican owner Always had a smile for you...seemed like a nice man even though we never spoke. You know how, when you own a business right next door to Another business, you sort of have an unspoken kinship...we watch for predator's, they watch for predator's...we have to watch out for each other...this is our livelihood...You see each other, you nod or give a wave of your hand...you are Never really aware of what is actually going on in their minds...
Over the weekend, this man, chopped up his girlfriend into tiny pieces...then threw himself off a bridge...he died a few hours later at the hospital.
May God have mercy on his soul...
Bless her heart....

Gosh that is terrible.Every evening, after work I made a stop outside the camp to buy chicha (a Venezuelan drink) because I had to drive 30 minutes to get home and I needed energy, one morning the news in the camp was that the nice man who prepared the chicha decapitated and chopped his wife then tried to decapitate himself but he could not because:"it hurts"
I have heard cases like that in Greece, too. You see a person every day and when he does something bad you say:"Who,him? He was nice guy.". You can't be sure for noone. Only for yourself. Bad times. What God sees from his creations!

Oh my goodness that is horrible, but yes i certainly know about people that you share space around. Mercy is certainly what this guy needs. Any idea of why he did such a thing?
