Eggs with English Double Devon Cream

Good grief...English Double Devon Cream...Expensive as all get out. I may indulge in this delectable delight, maybe once a year, if that often. 6ozs for only...$6.98. EGADS... NO......WAY.......ROBBERY.....uhhhhhhlooorrrdddd...ok. I hand over my firstborn, arm and proverbial leg, I'm in my jeep, tucking the little jar carefully away into my purse. Oh, don't worry. I made it home with NO mishaps. Gently placed it into the refrigerator to chill and eagerly anticipated the morning call to breakfast. Hubby made scrambled eggs with bell pepper, onion and cheddar cheese. The toast was cinnamon swirl, and lovingly slathered in English Double Devon Cream. First bite...My word....bliss...heaven...the symphony of the taste buds! I shall consume all six ounces myself. I feel no guilt, no remorse...My name is...NoNo Badgirl. Have a delightful evening. I'm going in for seconds and a nice cuppa coffee.

So great to catch up with you again Donna.
Yum I put on 2 kgs eating the cream with you!!!

I rolled on the floor laughing at your doctor's receptionist post. They must have to go to doctor receptionist courses and learn how to be so snappy and bossy!!!

Jules- Great to hear from you! Love the pictures...drool...and yes that cream was SO wonderful. Thank God it's so expensive or I'd be as big as a barn. Hope you're being careful and staying safe! I can't do without my fix of pics!

I have seen it in my local market and have never bothered with it. Now I will. Thanks... I think.

Nina- Glad you stopped in! If you like the home made whipped cream you'd top a pie with, you'll like this. It's heavier. You can also use it with lemon curd on toast.

Annie- It's usually in the foreign foods section of the larger chain stores. If not there, maybe where they keep the chilled cheeses. Have a good one!

Crystal-you'd better be glad..that cream is mighty tasty...

Diana- Please don't trade..lol...I'll do anything!!! lol...lol

Hi donna, Thanks for visiting my blog :) You have such a lovely Blog and reading this post on Devon cream I know just how delish this tastes. I'm from England and I've spent many holidays in Devon in the past, and Devonshire ice cream is out of this world made with their cream!! Also in Devon they partake in cream teas - scones with cream & jam, with quaint pots of tea - oh boy this is not something to have if you're on a diet lol
