Warm Winds

This post is dedicated to all my fellow bloggers that are sitting in a cold room, perhaps with the fireplace going or the heater running full blast. Spring is arriving here in central Texas and I just want to share some of it with you; and to try and remind you that it soon will be with you as well. Wishing you wellness and peace on this Monday night.....

Just stare for awhile, at the picture above. Lean your head back and close your eyes. Pretend you're actually there. You're sitting on the beach in your favorite, reclining lawn chair. Cool tropical breezes are washing over your entire body. You can hear the sound of the roaring ocean throwing it's waves of water upon the shore...Your body is relaxed and your arms are hanging over the sides of the chair, digging into the warm sand. You hear seagulls circling overhead but you don't open your eyes...you just listen to the sounds of the water...see the water, in your mind's eye, as a beautiful blue.....Sparkling, shimmering in the warm sunlight. Feel yourself at total peace. There is no pain...only total relaxation....rest........<3

Thanks. We have snow showers this morning, cold overcast windy day and I am freezing my tushie off when I am not sitting in front of the stove.
I think this is winter's last fling for us.
Got your card; you are too sweet.
Thank you!
Hugs

Crystal- LOLOL..."SyBia"!!!LOL...that's what you get for sneaking the kids candy!!LOL

Crystal said...

There was no SNEAKING involved! I PROUDLY got candy for me to EAT and for the kids to HUNT. I'm so sick of "crabby patties" and laughy taffy....

Turned my back for half a minute, and you posted another post! But what a nice one. Yes, the central heating is going full blast, and it keeps snowing and thawing at the rate of about 3 or 4 times a day outside. As you were talking about closing eyes and relaxing in deck chairs, and seeing the water etc., I had visions of opening them and finding that the tide had come in.

Much appreciated, Donna. The old man is hanging on here, but he will be forced to vacate soon.

Crikey, I think I've just meditated! All I can hear now is the sound of bleating lambs and a frustrated farmer!

Donna - you're wonderful! This was just what I needed. That is my dream beach, the place I go to when I'm at yoga trying to calm my racing mind while I twist my body into so called relaxing positions! Think I'll just stick with the deck chair.

Donna said...

Crystal- LOL...You poor thing!!! Wish I could transport you All to a warmer place!! Make that Frustrated Farmer sit Down, give him a nice cuppa tea or coffee and don't let him get up for at Least 15 minutes!! You'll be surprised how much it'll help his mind and attitude...blowing Warm winds to you sweetie!!hughugs

Expatkat- I love to meditate..and visualize. It can Really help how you feel throughout the day. Glad you enjoyed it! If the positions in yoga are taking away from your ability to concentrate on the "you" within, Stop with the "tormenting" position and try a more peaceful one...the "deck" chair can truly prove to be more productive...Much love to you!hughugs

Ah, I'll have one of Ms. Brenda's margarita's! The thing is, you see, if you go to the beach and drink kahlua & cream; when the sea gulls poop and it lands in your drink, you hardly even notice. Yes, that happened and we laughed the rest of the day! :)

Donna said...

Dawn- 30's?!!! Ouch!!! I'm puffing as fast as I can!LOLOL...Hang in there sweetie!!hughugs
