Having Fun at the Lake

Well, it really was a nice break from the "usual" Saturday fare! Ronnie and Glenda came to our house so that we could take our own truck and follow them. It was a pretty drive, sunshine...NO rain...thank goodness. Wind is blowing like crazy but not too cold! Anyway...we stopped to eat lunch at a place called Chilies. It was good lime grilled chicken....What did y'all think I'd eat??? LOL....I behaved!! Larry had a nice grilled chicken salad....Good boy! We leave there and drive for a little through a park, winding around a few turns and finally into their driveway...Sweet!!! As in Whoa!!!! The house is really nice, only needing some long term care on the inside. You go around the back and this tremendous view is...just there. Wonderful. They've got some work to do, but I know when they finish, they'll love it.
The ride back took us through a tiny town called Moody. We were riding parallel to this coal train. Tried to make it to the turn off before the train rolled over it, but we lost the race. While sitting there I took a couple of shots of it. This is the first time in a long time that I'd had to wait for a train to pass...reminded me of long ago days, gone by.
Well, thanks for taking this little trip with me! If Glenda tunes in to read, Thanks you two!! It Was just what the Doctor ordered!!! Y'all have a happy evening!

Jenn- ANYTHING by the water is nice!! They've got some work to do on the inside of the house, but it can be remodeled to look very nice. Everything is 80's and the layout is strange enough to cause trouble, trying to figure out where to put furniture..etc. But, they'll get there! Hope all is well with you and yours!!

What a lovely place and a lake in the back yard! can't beat that with a stick. Will they have it ready in time to do some Spring fishing?

Sally- We did have fun. And it really helped that it was a pretty day! Loved it! Hope you're feeling OK? Stay warm tonight!!

Dannalie- No, this is at Lake Belton. Pretty isn't it! Haven't you left for your conference? Or is that Monday? You be careful Girl!!
One thing I'd like to do is go ride a train someday.

Brenda- I guess they could just walk down to the shore and throw a line in, but he has a boat and the corps of enigneers won't let them dock it at their house. So...they have to use the ramps at public access areas. Crazy isn't it!

It is a beautiful home. Plus living on the water is twice as nice. I haven't had to sit and wait for a train in years. Thanks for sharing the pictures.

Lynn- Technology is really flying now isn't it?!!! Driving through some of these small towns is definitly like driving into the past...Things just don't change much. The UK is just like that. Beautiful and full of history! Have a warm, sunshiney day sweetie!!
